On-line Tutoring

On-line tutoring provides students with homework help in the evenings. Students log-in from their home computers and are able to ask the tutor questions in a chat environment. The tutors use a tablet PC to diagram problems and discuss methods of solving them. This provides students with real-time help while they're working on homework and complements the instruction through classroom tutoring.

On-line tutoring was established in collaboration with the Technology Consulting in the Community program at CMU. More information about TCinC may be found at:

We use the following software interface to work with students on-line. The students and tutor can discuss problems in the chat box and work through them in the whiteboard space.
