To prepare for this meeting you should:
- Read the About the Organization reports from your peers
- Be on time or a few minutes early.
The agenda for the meeting is fairly simple and open-ended:
- Each person gets an equal share of time
- The student should start by reading through the list of problems
- The should *not* read through the whole report!
- They should *not* re-explain or justify them the problems, except to answer questions from the group.
- Then the group can discuss:
- What type of solutions were you considering for the various problem/opportunities?
- What other solutions should be considered.
- Brainstorming innovative solutions to the problems.
- Suggest solutions that the student consultant should do more research into.
- What type of solutions were you considering for the various problem/opportunities?
In a week, you will meet as a group again. At that time, you will have a well-defended argument for the solution approach you chose. So for this meeting, ideas can still be half baked ... and this is an opportunity to think of alternatives.
