The Eberly Center for Teaching Excellence and the Office of Technology for Education strive to enhance the quality of education at Carnegie Mellon. They collaborate with their colleagues to improve courses and learning environments by broadening their understanding of the science of learning and how new pedagogical approaches and technologies can enhance student performance.
The Enhancing Education website has information on learning/teaching principles, how to teach/design a course, how to solve a teaching problem, and more.
Writing Help (For Yourself or Another Student)
Unfortunately there is not a writing center on campus. The Intercultural Communication Center does have some workshops and writing class, but these are typically restricted to non-native speakers of English. We suggest contacting your advisor and departmental staff. In rare instances, it may be appropriate to contact the English department.
