The Carnegie Mellon Pre-Law Program provides support and related activities and outlets for students and alumni with interests in law, and in the possibility of law school at some point beyond college.  The program has two components that work in partnership: an advising program, and the student prelaw society.   If law school after college develops into an interest of yours, the pre-law program offers services to guide and inform you about law school and careers in law, and to help you select, apply and gain admission to law school. You will receive advice about coursework in areas that will expose you to law-related fields and develop skills relevant to the demands of law school. Related activities include mock trial competitions, prelaw society events, visits and talks by distinguished jurists and law school representatives, and workshops on the law school application process.
