2017 MOSAIC Conference: "______ Women Matter."
SATURDAY, APRIL 8, 2017
Carnegie Mellon University, Doherty Hall

8:30am - 5:00pm
(Registration begins at 8:30am)

Carnegie Mellon University's Annual MOSAIC Conference focuses specifically on topics that surround gender including sexuality, identity, masculinity, gender-based violence, and more.

The theme for 2017 is "______ Women Matter." Feminism is often seen as a concept made for and built around the experiences of white women. This year's MOSAIC conference will focus on the many intersections of women's identities. This includes the experiences of Asian, Muslim, Black, Latinx, Queer, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, (Dis)Abled, STEM, Trans, Working, etc., WOMEN. It is important that feminism be seen and understood as intersectional and this year's conference presentations, as well as the keynote address by Angelica Ross, will reflect the many identities that women hold.
