This course is an introduction to the sport of figure skating. Although some of the time will be spent in a classroom learning basic concepts, the focus of the course will be on developing skills used in figure skating through on-ice instruction and practice.
This course will be continued the following semester, students from previous semesters are welcome. Costs for skates per week will be $2 per student. Costs for ice time will vary based on class size. The course will require about 1 hour of work per week, outside of class.

Have you ever wanted to build a gadget but don't know how to get started? In this class we'll work hands on with common gadget components, putting you in control of diverse sensors and actuators to sense and manipulate your environment. Once you master the basics, we'll teach you how to design and create custom printed circuit boards. For a final project you'll take your own ideas and produce an original gadget by the end of the semester.

Have you ever wanted to learn to make delicious French bread? Or perhaps a perfectly moist dark chocolate cake? This course will teach the baking fundamentals such as which flour to choose for any given baked product, or how to choose between butter and oil and the methods to create perfect products.
This is the course for somebody who has always wanted to learn the theories behind recipes, but doesn't have the time for cooking school. With recipes and techniques approved by Le Cordon Bleu, each week we will learn a new product ranging from bread to pastries, cookies to cakes, and of course, along dedication to the use of chocolate. Practice skills will be demonstrated and utilized in this class. This is not a lecture course, this is a multi-sensing experience!

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike is a popular fighting game and has been played competitively in tournaments around the world since 1998. In this course, we will cover basic, intermediate, and advanced techniques, match-ups, character-specific strategies, and the art of conditioning and manipulating the opponent. At the same time, we will also explore the universal application of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike to other games to establish a general school of though on games.
Note: Owning a PlayStation 2 and a copy of "Street Fighter: Anniversary Edition" is not required but strongly recommended.

This course is about solving various puzzles such as the 3x3x3 cube, 4x4x4 cube, 5x5x5 cube, 2x2x2, the Pyraminx, the Megaminx, and the Square-1. Prior knowledge is not necessary to take this course. The course will mostly focus on how to solve a 3x3x3 cube, and will gradually introduce faster methods, algorithms and tricks in order to improve speed. The course will then introduce and teach how to solve the other puzzles mentioned above.

Projects will include cakes, pastries, ice cream, mousse, candy, chocolate, sauces, and decorational elements. Students must have taken 98-089 as a prereq.
