"Best Year Ever" for Food Drive, Co-Chair Says

This year's Food Drive, sponsored by Staff Council for the 18th year, collected 8,667 pounds of food and $3,982.90 for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

"Last year was our largest year for both pounds and dollars (9,026 pounds, $2,607.90). However, given we were only down 359 pounds of nonperishables, but up $1,375 — and given the Food Bank's 'buying power' — we think we can say this was our best year ever!" said Staff Council Food Drive Co-Chair Carole Panno.
