2012 Food Drive-Staff Council - Carnegie Mellon University

2012 Food Drive

In 2012, the university community contributed 7,358 pounds* of non-perishable items and $4,791.35 were donated to The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank as a result of our drive. Once again, we surpassed our total dollars collected, achieving the largest dollar total by a more than an $800 increase! This increase in dollars helped to offset the deficit in poundage, since the Food Bank’s buying power is $5 for every $1 raised.

*Our largest poundage ever was 9,026 pounds, in November 2010.
