Welcome!

Carnegie Mellon's Strategic Plan, developed in 1998, has guided the university community in six core areas:  education and student life, research, regional impact, international initiatives, community success, and financial strength.  The development of the 2008 Strategic Plan is progressing, allowing us to collectively explore the many ways in which we will continue to grow and develop the core areas.  Your involvement is essential to the plan’s success.

Within this site, you can learn about the process to date, view the fall town meeting schedule, and review the current working drafts of the six strategic plan committees.  We urge your participation--especially during the open Town Meetings in August and September.  Also, feel free to contact Michael Murphy at mm1v@andrew.cmu.edu, or (412) 268-2057 with any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions.

We look forward to the continued development of the 2008 Strategic Plan, and we appreciate your commitment to the ongoing process.
