Title: Kickstarting Early Careers Through collegefeed
Abstract:

collegefeed is a social platform to kickstart careers for college students and young alums. We're doing this by improving the connection between students, employers, colleges and alumni "10x". We are solving some tough challenges especially around recommendations. For example: 

 

  • Which jobs and companies might be interesting for students with a particular background?
  • Which students might be a good match for employers looking for a certain set of skills and achievements?

 

Today, we'd like to share what we are building, and some of the big problems we are trying to solve. We'd like to get your feedback and think about how we can work with CMU-SV more closely to solve these problems. 

 
Speaker Bio: Sanjeev is the founder of collegefeed. Before collegefeed, Sanjeev was CEO of Aloqa, a mobile push platform (acquired by Motorola), Head of Product Marketing for Google, and VP Products and Marketing at Tellme Networks (acquired by Microsoft). Sanjeev is also an advisor to SocialTwist, the leading enterprise SAAS platform for social marketing. He holds a BS and MS in EECS from MIT, spent four years as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co., and three at Cisco Systems. He pretends to play squash when not chasing down his three-year old for exercise.
