CMUSV Director To Moderate "Transforming Education through Technology" Panel
Today's fast-changing learning environment provides students with an ever greater access to the internet, social networks and computing resources. But doing old things with new technologies will not transform educational practice or outcomes. It is imperative that investment in technology not be about the technology itself, but about enabling students to learn more dynamically and enabling teachers to teach more creatively. We will explore how personalization, social networks, learning analytics and other trends are transforming education and learning.
On May 8, 2012, CMUSV Director Martin Griss will moderate a panel hosted by the Jewish High Tech Community. The event, Transforming Education Through Technology, will include panelists Rabbi Arron Ross, Assistant Principal at Yavneh Academy; Issac Segal, President & Chief Executive Officer, Tegrity; David Straus, Vice President Product, Kno, Inc.; and Evan Wolkenstein, Director of Experiential Education, JCHS.
