New Integrative Media Program to feature degree from Integrated Innovation Institute
In November, Carnegie Mellon University, the City of New York and Steiner Studios announced an agreement to create CMU's Integrative Media Program (CMU-IMP), to open in 2015 at Steiner Studios at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Initial graduate offerings will focus on training in creative industries that integrate technology and the arts, focusing on research and education across technology, arts and design, sciences and humanities as well as applications in film, gaming, social media, interactive computing, performance arts, visual arts, design and architecture. These programs are offered collaboratively across CMU's College of Fine Arts (CFA), School of Computer Science, the College of Engineering (CIT) and the Tepper School of Business.
The Integrated Innovation Institute — a joint venture of CIT, Tepper, and the Carnegie Mellon School of Design in CFA and the home of CMU-SV's MS Software Management program — will offer a Master of Integrated Innovation degree out of the new New York campus.
