INI launches course in Software Defined Networking (SDN)
CMU's Information Networking Institute (INI) debuted a new course in network security and management for the Spring 2014 semester, covering issues in Software Defined Networking (SDN). This new network paradigm has the promise to provide a unified single control framework. Companies are investigating how to adopt SDN in their infrastructures, and the SDN market is predicted to boom in the coming years. The course, taught by Vyas Sekar, a visiting assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering and computer science, and CMU Assistant Research Professor Limin Jia, is broadcast from Pittsburgh to CMU-SV.
