Silicon Valley Student Selected to Present at SEPG Conference
Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley was pleased to support the Software Engineering Institute's annual SEPG conference, held in San Jose, March 23-26. SEPG offers core professional development in process improvement through technical sessions focused on technologies like CMMI, People CMM, PSP, TSP, Agile, ISO, and Six Sigma; approaches to implementing high maturity; effective acquisition techniques; service development and delivery; and many other processes for improvement. Faculty and staff from the Silicon Valley campus participated in the exhibit hall, conducting educational outreach.

Neethi Shenoy, a Silicon Valley student in the INI MSIT-Software Management program, was one of a select group of graduate students chosen from across the globe to present a poster entitled, "Improved Quality and Predictability through Reuse and Crowd-Sourcing." Shenoy says of the conference, "The SEI's SEPG was a great conference to attend. As a presenter, I had unrestricted access to all events of the four day conference including informational, interactive sessions from renowned process gurus, keynote sessions from the likes of CEO's and CIO's of prestigious organizations. The experience was action-packed as I got to meet a lot of fellow students from across the globe, respectable people from the corporate industry as well as the academic setting who could very well be potential sponsors of my work and/or potential employers!"
