Gerry Panelo Elizondo, Director of Student AffairsOverview: Gerry Panelo Elizondo is the Director of Student Affairs at the Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley campus. Gerry has over twelve years experience in higher education and student affairs. Prior to joining CMU Silicon Valley, she was the Director of Campus Life at the San Francisco Art Institute, and worked in commuter programs, student unions, and residence life at Eastern Michigan University, University of Maryland and Holy Names University. Her professional research interests are diversity and multiculturalism and adult/commuter student affairs. She is a member of ACPA - College Student Educators International and serves as Chair for the Commission for Commuter Students and Adult Learners. Gerry earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC Davis and her master’s degree in College Student Personnel from University of Maryland. |
