Overview:

Dr. Jike Chong is adjunct faculty at Carnegie Mellon University focusing on establishing the university as a Center of Excellence for parallel computing research. He directs the CUDA Teaching Center at Carnegie Mellon University and leads the High Performance Computing and GPU Supercomputing Group in Silicon Valley. Jike is actively conducting research in software application architecture design and parallel computing in automatic speech recognition and computational finance. He also collaborates with domain experts in other areas such as machine learning. Devoting much of the past decade to parallel computing aiming at creating space for new application models, his work led to several granted patents in hardware and software parallel computing technologies. He has conducted research at Intel Application Research Labs, Xilinx Research Labs, and was a key contributor of Sun Microsystems' flagship T2 high throughput server microprocessor. In 2009, he founded Parasians, Parallel Computing Artisans, where he serves as the Principal Application Architect.

Jike earned his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, the Management of Technology (MOT) Certificate from Haas Business School at Berkeley, and PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from University of California, Berkeley.
