Geocam: Field Data Collection Demo

Summary: In support of the disaster communications exercise, we will send out several field observers with GeoCam phones to collect geotagged photos and display a map with the live photo data.

About the speaker: Trey Smith is a researcher at CMU Silicon Valley and NASA Ames Research Center, where he leads the GeoCam Disaster Response Project, which aims to improve disaster responder situation awareness with tools for sharing maps, photos, and other data. He also develops tools to support NASA robotic field tests and lunar mapping. He received his Ph.D. in robotics from CMU (Pittsburgh) in 2007.
