2006 Northside, Hill District
Northside Studio, Hill District Studio
Professors Kelly Hutzell and Rami el Samahy took students to the Northside, where students proposed connections between the cultural and entertainment centers on the North Side's "Charm Bracelet", while Professors Luis Rico-Gutierrez, Dan Rothschild and Ken Doyno held studios looking at two corridors with excess vacant lands: Herron Avenue in the Hill District and Brighton Road on the Northside.
With the support of the Urban Land Institute and the Urban Development Authority, students' work was compiled into a publication entitled Strategies for the Reuse of Vacant Urban Land: Herron Avenue and Brighton Road.
