Architecture Building Communities

How can designers improve communities?

In this week-long camp, you will learn how to develop your ideas into creative, new design solutions for a local Pittsburgh neighborhood. Working with young professionals and designers from the Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design fields, you will gain first hand design experience as you learn spatial planning, site documentation, model building, history, and how to use innovative technology tools.

As a team, we will consider possible uses for the property and create a design solution.  At the end, we present our solutions to friends, family and members of the community. This camp is offered free of charge thanks to the generous support of the Heinz Endowments.

Registration for 2014 is now closed.  Check back with us to view what this year's participants created for the Hill District Community Development Corporation.
