Missy Harvey is the Computer Science Librarian in the Engineering & Science Library at Carnegie Mellon University since 1995. She provides research support to the School of Computer Science and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, as well as the Information Networking Institute, the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, and the West Coast Campus. She is also an Adjunct Instructor at Drexel University's College of Information Science and Technology. Missy started up the first library for Sun Microsystems in Mountain View, CA. She and a contractor created the first ever library automation system to run on a UNIX platform. Missy's earlier experience included working at Yale University, Wheaton College, and the University of Pittsburgh. She received her BA in Elementary Education from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) in 1981; her MS in Library Science in 1985 from Southern Connecticut State University.
