David J. Dausey is the Senior Director of Health Care Programs and Initiatives and a member of the faculty at the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University where he is spearheading the college's efforts to grow and expand their health care programs and initiatives.  He also holds adjunct positions at the RAND Corporation and University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine. An internationally respected health care and public health expert, Dr. Dausey has worked closely with senior health officials in more than a dozen different countries and experts at international organizations and foundations such as the World Health Organization, the United Nations, the Global Health and Security Initiative and the Rockefeller Foundation. Domestically, he has collaborated with more than 100 local and state health care and public health agencies in every region of the country and with large federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He is the author of dozens of peer reviewed journal articles and public reports that have appeared in top-tier journals such as Health Affairs, the American Journal of Psychiatry, and the American Journal of Public Health and that have been featured by domestic and international media outlets such as the international edition of USA Today (front page), the Atlantic Journal-Constitution, U.S. News and World Report, CNN, and InfoTrack syndicated radio.
