Arthur Boni is the John R. Thorne Chair of Entrepreneurship; Associate Teaching Professor of Entrepreneurship; and Deputy Director, Donald H. Jones Center for Entrepreneurship, at Carnegie Mellon. He received his PhD from the University of California, San Diego, in 1968; and his MS from the University of Southern California in 1964. His teaching and research interests include Entrepreneurship and new venture creation, commercialization of technology and biotechnology, venture capital investing, innovation and entrepreneurship in corporate environments, and leadership in entrepreneurial companies. He has advisory relationships with technology and biotechnology companies on corporate strategy, partnering, licensing, and intellectual property, and holds numerous advisory roles in economic development organizations in Pittsburgh.
