A National Competition

The National Science Foundation has created an Annual NSF ERC-Wide Elevator Pitch Competition for students of engineering research centers to gain practice and confidence in describing the innovative and commercially-viable aspects of their work.

QoLT graduate and undergraduate students are invited to compete in the local, qualifier round on Thursday, October 20.

The first place winner of the national competition will receive $5000, the title and the honor of hosting the Competition's traveling trophy at their ERC for one year.

Compete to Represent QoLT

Be the first winner of a new standing competition amongst all NSF-ERCs!

To participate, QoLT students must present a 90-second elevator pitch with only one slide.  Additional props are not allowed.

One winner will be selected from the QoLT Center to receive personalized business pitch coaching from a local expert.

The winning student will also represent the QoLT Center at the national level during the NSF ERC-wide Competition in Washington D.C. on November 30, 2011.  The final round will be held in conjunction with the NSF's Annual ERC Meeting and Student Retreat.
