Public Awareness

With the aim of creating excitement about QoLT among the general public, we work closely with local organizations and government on hosting conferences and expos, and delivering presentations and demonstrations to a variety of audiences.

The QoLT Center has attended or co-sponsored the following events.

  • SciTech Festival at Carnegie Science Center
  • The Annual Governor's Conference on Employment of People with Disabilities
  • City of Pittsburgh Public Teacher Session on QoLT
  • Assistive Technology Exposition at Johnstown, PA
  • Florida-Georgia Louis Stoke Alliance for Minority Participation (FGLSAMP) Expo
  • Engineering Panel at the University of Pittsburgh
  • National Academy of Engineering Regional Meeting and Public Symposium on QoLT
  • Allegheny County City of Pittsburgh Council on Disability

We are currently working with New York Hall of Science on a project that develops interactive exhibits on emerging technologies that have direct and immediate connection with our day-to-day lives to increase public awareness of these technologies and the profound impact they are having and will have on how we live.
