An International Commitment to Education
Carnegie Mellon's dedication to educating students around the globe is illustrated with 20 percent of students from outside the United States and with alumni located world-wide. Rooted in the belief that diversity leads to innovation, Carnegie Mellon provides a solid support structure to international students in Pittsburgh and at our international locations.
Here in Pittsburgh, our Office of International Education facilitates the experience for new students and promotes intercultural events across campus. And through credit and non-credit classes, workshops and appointments, Carnegie Mellon's Intercultural Communication Center provides non-native English speakers with the resources needed to succeed.
Events like the annual International Festival also give students the opportunity to celebrate their cultures while exploring others. With a range of religious and ethnic student organizations, students also have the chance to connect with their peers and form new friendships away from home.
