Financial support is available for most students that are accepted into the program and are not receiving funding elsewhere (e.g., government or funding agency). Funding can include tuition fees and a stipend. In the first two years in the program, students will concentrate on their coursework, research, and comprehensive examinations. In subsequent years they will work as research or teaching assistants, and will normally have the opportunity to obtain teaching experience as an instructor of a course related to their area of specialty.
