POLICY TITLE: Carnegie Mellon University Domestic Partners Registration Policy
DATE OF ISSUANCE: The Carnegie Mellon Board of Trustees voted, on May 22, 2000, to extend health benefits to domestic partners; the domestic partners registration policy was subsequently revised in June 2000.

Domestic partners of Carnegie Mellon employees may be covered by medical, dental, vision and other benefits providing they meet certain eligibility criteria. Domestic partners who do not qualify for health benefits may still be entitled to sponsored benefits.
