
Sgt. Edward McSheffrey
Sgt. Edward McSheffery received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Administration of Justice from Penn State University. Upon graduation Sgt. McSheffery was hired as a Correction Officer by the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Bradford, PA. In October of 1990 Sgt. McSheffery was hired by the City of Connellsville Police Department where he served 20 years. His held ranks include Corporal, Captain and the last three years as Chief of Police prior to retirement. Sgt. McSheffery also served as the Assistant Director of Safety and Security for the Allegheny Campus of the Community College of Allegheny County prior to coming to CMUPD.
Sgt. McSheffery has attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy in Glynco, Georgia and graduated with Honors. He received his Act 120 Certification from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Over the past twenty years Sgt. McSheffery has attended various classes and seminars related to the law enforcement field.
