SIMPLE ASSUALT

Carnegie Mellon University Police received a report from a CMU alum that she was shot with a BB gun on Saturday evening while attending a concert in the Drill Deck of the Old Student Center.

At 11:25 p.m., on Saturday, September 17th, a Carnegie Mellon alum was standing in the driveway at 4902 Forbes Avenue, when she heard two loud pops and felt pain in her left leg. A witness reported the two loud bangs or pops had come from the direction of a dark blue car seen traveling east on Forbes Avenue at the time of the incident. CMU Student EMS personnel administered first aid to the victim, who was transported shortly thereafter to Shadyside Hospital for treatment, and later released. No further description of the vehicle or its occupant(s) was obtained.

Anyone who has any information about this case is asked to contact University Police immediately on x8-2323/(412) 268-2323.
