Jason Williamson's plays have received performances or readings across the country, from his home state of North Carolina to Chicago to Alaska. His work has been seen at The Greensboro Fringe Festival, The Stone Leaf Theatre Festival, The Broach Theater, PS211, Speaking Ring Theatre, and The Last Frontier Theatre Conference, among other venues. His ten minute play, Breathing, Caterpillars, was a finalist for the Actors Theatre of Louisville's Heideman award in 2005. The Hymn Cage was a finalist for the 2006 O'Neill Conference. He is currently a semi-finalist for the 2007 O'Neill Conference with Goat Song for Asa Jacobs. His newest play, Ether Steeds, recently received a workshop production at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. He will receive his MFA in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon in the spring of 2007.
