Seats Remain for AED/CPR Classes

Seats remain for the March 2 and March 21 AED/CPR classes sponsored by Environmental Health & Safety. The March 2 class will be held from 10 a.m. to noon in Rangos 2, University Center. The March 21 class will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in Rangos 2. To register for either of these classes, go to http://www.cmu.edu/ehs/, click on the Training tab at the top of the page, then click on AED training and follow the link to the registration page.

Some people have indicated that they are reluctant to attend a class of this nature because of the danger of being sued. Pennsylvania has a Good Samaritan law that prevents this from happening, and nobody would be held liable should they unsuccessfully use an AED.
