Carnegie Mellon's 10-year Master Plan will guide the university's growth through 2022. Proposed projects include a new biomedical-energy-nanotechnology building between Wean, Hamerschlag and Roberts halls; a new building for the Tepper School of Business at the Morewood parking lot site; additions to the University Center and renovations to Skibo Gym to enhance space for athletics, fitness and recreation; an extension to Margaret Morrison Carnegie Hall toward Donner Hall; and transforming the "Cut" at Morewood and Forbes into a formal entrance for the university.

The Alumni Association has announced the 2012 Alumni Award Honorees. The university will celebrate their accomplishments and contributions during Ceilidh Weekend at the annual Alumni Awards Ceremony at 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5 in Rangos Hall, University Center.
