Warner Bros. Movie To Impact Access To Buildings, Streets & Parking

Access to several university buildings, and streets and parking in Oakland will be impacted later this month when CMU plays host to several scenes for a major motion picture by Warner Bros. Scenes will be filmed outside of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., July 30-31, and inside and outside of the Mellon Institute from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., July 31 and Aug. 3-4. MORE

ETC To Partner With Salford University in United Kingdom

The Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Salford in Manchester, United Kingdom, to collaborate on interactive, creative digital media projects. The partnership will include student exchanges, the development of postgraduate courses and research projects in acoustics, media asset management and "edutainment." MORE

Software Engineering Students Develop Warhol App

WarholThree students in last year's Institute for Software Research's Professional Software Engineering programs developed an iPhone/iPad application for The Andy Warhol Museum. The application allows users to create a digital silkscreen print by following Warhol's famed silkscreen process step by step.
