The Carnegie Mellon Credit Union is offering a special 4.75 percent annual percentage rate for computer loans through Sept. 30. The maximum loan amount is $5,000 and the maximum term is 30 months. A new Weight Watchers at Work session (17 weeks, $186) will begin Wednesday, Sept. 7. Meetings are from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Cyert Hall B6B. MediaTech has decreased its price for set-up in McConomy Auditorium. Single projection will be $100 for the first hour and $50 for each additional hour, and dual projection will be $200 for the first hour and $75 for each additional hour. Panel discussions and similar events now will be billed on a per-microphone basis, and a $50 cancellation fee will be charged for any event that is cancelled within 24 hours of its scheduled time. Computing Services has increased the storage quotas for its Andrew File System (AFS) and Cyrus email services. The quota for AFS will increase to 2GB. Cyrus quotas will increase to 5GB. Each service will use the new maximum quota by default. Nominations for the 2012 Alumni Awards are now being accepted through Thursday, Sept. 1. Each year the Alumni Association honors alumni, students and faculty who have given outstanding service to the university, and alumni who have achieved exceptional success in their chosen professions.
