Research project:
The Intelligent Writing Tutor Project

Description :
The Intelligent Writing Tutor (IWT) project explores the issues of transfer and long-term retention of acquired knowledge.   Through a series of in vivo learning experiments, positive and negative transfer from a student's native language (L1) to English, the effects of an informed knowledge tracer on learning, and the role of implicit and explicit feedback in achieving competency are studied.

Interests: language learning, technology in education, motivation
