You do not need an account to access OLI free courses! You can use the Open and Free version of any of our courses without registering.

STUDENTS

I am taking an OLI course for credit.
AND I have a course admit code from my instructor.
AND I am NOT a student at Carnegie Mellon.

You will need to register for an "Academic Version" course. If you are taking a course for credit and your instructor sent you to this site, you need an account.

You will be prompted for your course admit code after your account creation is complete.

 

I am a student and would like to take an OLI course for credit.
I do NOT have an instructor or a course admit code.

OLI courses are only available for credit through academic institutions. There is no charge for instiutions to offer OLI courses. Talk to your instructor or local institution about setting up an OLI course for you to take for credit.

 

I am a Carnegie Mellon student taking an OLI course for credit. AND I have a course admit code from my Carnegie Mellon instructor.

You will use your Carnegie Mellon ID and login through WebISO to access your OLI course.

INSTRUCTORS

I am an instructor and would like to browse the materials

You do not need to create an account to browse the materials, which are available through our open & free courses.

I am an instructor and would like to create a course for my students to take for credit

You may set up an "Academic Version" of any of our courses for your students to use. The "Academic Version" uses the same course material as the the Open & Free Version PLUS includes access to the graded exams. The Academic Version tracks student learning of key concepts and gives the student and the instructor formative feedback to improve learning outcomes.

> If you are ready to begin using the course and would like to set up an "Acacemic Version" of a course for your students, please click here to Create a New Account. We will contact you to authorize you as an instructor and send you directions about how to use our course builder to make your course.
