Spring 2017 International Graduate Orientation

All F-1 and J-1 students are required to attend international orientation and immigration check-in.  Orientation will be held:

Friday, January 13, 2017:  8:30am-12:00pm - Cohon University Center, 1st floor, McConomy Auditorium

Register for Spring Orienation on CMU's Bridge website.  A confirmation email with further details will be emailed to registered students leading up to orientation.

Students must bring the following documents to International Orientation & Immigration Check-in: 

  • Completed International Student Data Form
  • Original I-20 (F-1 students) or DS-2019 (J-1 students)
  • Photocopy of page 1 of the I-20 or DS-2019
  • Photocopy of passport (identification page only)
  • Photocopy of F-1 or J-1 visa in passport
  • Photocopy of passport page with port of entry stamp
  • I-94 record (Note: this document can only be printed after entry to the U.S.)
  • Photocopy of SEVIS fee receipt (optional)

Visiting Scholar Orientation:

Visiting Scholar Orientation is held on most Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. in the Office of International Education (OIE), Warner Hall, third floor. At orientation, we will review required immigration information, as well as campus and local resources.  Call OIE at 412-268-5231 or stop by the front desk to register your attendance for the Scholar Orientation.  All J-1 visitors are required to attend this orientation program.

New visiting scholars should bring the following documents to Scholar Orientation:
