Housing Arrangements

Housing will be provided at Carnegie Mellon University during New Student Orientation.

Early Housing

Requests for early housing to the three university’s housing departments will made by the CMU ROTC Coordinator.  Early housing for New Students will be available on Monday August 17th after 9:00am.  This will allow you to move your personal belongings into a dorm room at your prospective school and return to that room after completion of New Student Orientation.

Although the request for housing will be made by the CMU ROTC Coordinator, you are still required to contact your university housing department and let them know you are a NROTC student and will be arriving on Monday August 17th.  A by name roster of all incoming NROTC students will be provided to each university housing department. Except for the items needed for New Student Orientation, you must store any additional luggage and items in your dorm room during Orientation; there is no room for storage at the NROTC Unit.

CMU:

Carnegie Mellon Students do not need to call Housing.  Please note that even though you are approved for early arrival you are not guaranteed to move in to your permanent room.  Some people may be housed in temporary accommodations.  If you need to call Housing Services, they can be reached at 412-268-2139.

PITT:

University of Pittsburgh students should check-in at Panther Service Center, Litchfield Towers Main Lobby, or with the Security Guard in your assigned building.  If you need to call Housing Services, they can be reached at 412-624-1100.

DUQUESNE:

Duquesne University students should call Residence Life at 412-396-6655 or 412-396-5028.
