Dissemination
We believe that the best forms of dissemination of our NMR Center's technology, expertise, and accomplishments are:
- Publications in scientific journals
- Presentations at scientific conferences, symposia
- Center World Wide Web page
- Being invited to give speeches at major scientific conferences
- Training program and short course
In addition, we offer a strong program of graduate training in biomedical NMR here in Pittsburgh. Most of our basic research and development projects, as well as collaborative research projects, include excellent topics for doctoral thesis research for graduate students and M.D./Ph.D. students, and research projects for postdoctoral research associates in our NMR program. There is a shortage of personnel in the area of biomedical NMR and our Center's training program helps to alleviate this deficiency. Informal tours of the Center are given frequently to graduate, undergraduate, and high school students and other groups as a way of disseminating information.
