CMU Welcomes Families and Friends

Family Weekend 2016

Families and friends wondering what life is like for their favorite student at Carnegie Mellon University had an opportunity to experience it for themselves Sept. 30-Oct. 2.

Through open houses, academic programming, exhibits, student performances, varsity athletic events, planned gatherings and special events, Family Weekend offered ways to help share the student experience.

"The weekend provided a wonderful chance for families to spend quality time with students," said Anne Witchner, assistant dean of Students Affairs. "They could experience firsthand some of the favorite places on campus and in Pittsburgh, meet friends and discover some of the resources and opportunities that are available."

The many activities offered guests a chance to learn about the university by meeting faculty, staff, alumni and other students who are passionate about CMU.
