News Brief: SCS Celebrates Second Annual Founders' Day

SCSFounders' Day, a new tradition that focuses on the achievements of the School of Computer Science (SCS) and its faculty and staff, will be celebrated at 4 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31 in the Hillman Center's Rashid Auditorium.

Randy Bryant, SCS dean, will open the program by delivering his State of the School address. The school's Allen Newell Award for Research Excellence and the Herbert A. Simon Award for Teaching Excellence in Computer Science both will be announced, as will staff recognition awards. Recent external awards to faculty members also will be recognized. A reception will follow the program.
