Event: Carnegie Mellon University's 2013 International Film Festival will offer a sneak preview of its upcoming lineup of award-winning independent films with an advanced screening of "Danube Hospital." From director Nikolaus Geyrhalter, the film reveals how state-of-the art computer technology and robot-like transporters in science fiction have become a reality within an Austrian hospital.

The theme of this year's festival is "Faces of Media," which will explore the evolving world of global communications through a cinematic lens. Running March 21 - April 13, the festival will bring more than a dozen films to Pittsburgh from Germany, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Romania, Poland, Austria, Finland, the Ukraine, Egypt, Iran, Israel, Japan, China and the United States.

The screening of "Danube Hospital" will be presented in conjunction with the Imperfect Health exhibition at CMU's Miller Gallery. Pretzels from Hofbräuhaus and other refreshments will be served.
