From 1993 to 2005, Marvin Goodfriend was the senior vice president and policy advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.

• He previously served as a senior staff economist for the Council of Economic Advisors at the White House.
• He is a visiting scholar with: European Central Bank, Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Federal Reserve Board, Institute for International Economic Studies (University of Stockholm), International Monetary Fund, Swiss National Bank
