Jendayi Frazer

Jendayi Frazer was the leading architect of U.S.-Africa policy over the last decade, most recently serving as the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs from August 2005 — January 2009 and previously as the U.S. ambassador to South Africa.
Frazer’s current research focuses on:
- Strengthening regional security cooperation and economic and political integration in Africa.
- How the global financial crisis has impacted Africa’s trade and investment opportunities and what is necessary for Africa’s development.
- Aid to Africa and ways to ensure its effectiveness.
