C-MITES: A 'Burgh Best

Pittsburgh Magazine’s annual “Best of the ‘Burgh” edition honors Carnegie Mellon’s C-MITES program in the “Best Classes for Young Einsteins” category.

“C-MITES has offered fun and challenging, hands-on classes for young people for 18 years,” said Ann Lupkowski Shoplik, C-MITES director. “We are delighted to be recognized as the ‘Best of the ‘Burgh.’”

Academically talented students in kindergarten through ninth grade are eligible to participate in C-MITES. The program is now accepting registrations for its fall Weekend Workshops, which include more than 40 offerings like “Science of Harry Potter,” “Amazing Apples” and “Inside the Beehive.” For more information, visit:
