CNBC Show a First for Carnegie Mellon

The CNBC show "Meeting of the Minds: Rebuilding America," which was taped at Carnegie Mellon on Nov. 30, aired Wednesday, Dec. 2.

The show, the first national broadcast to be filmed at Carnegie Mellon, featured host Maria Bartiromo and panelists Jeff Immelt, Chairman & CEO, General Electric; Hilda Solis, U.S. Secretary of Labor; Bill Ford, Executive Chairman, Ford Motor Company; John Engler, Former Governor, Michigan, President, National Association of Manufacturers; Dan DiMicco, Chairman, President & CEO, NuCor; and Leo Gerard, International President, United Steelworkers.

The studio audience of more than 700 in Wiegand Gym included many faculty, staff and students from the Carnegie Mellon community, including about 20 students who served as CNBC interns for the day. Several students got the chance to ask questions of the panelists.
