Farewell, or See Ya Later?

For the second time in four years, Microsoft founder Bill Gates is coming to speak at Carnegie Mellon as part of a university tour.  This time, his trip is being billed as his “farewell tour,” since he’s leaving his roles at Microsoft to turn his full-time attention to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

But, let’s hope it’s not farewell, it’s just see ya later.  

In 2009, the new School of Computer Science Complex is scheduled to open, thanks to a $20 million lead gift from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The complex includes two buildings, one appropriately called the Gates Center.  

Can’t think of a better person to help cut the ribbon next year.
