We are all Pittsburghers
Inspired by this Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article about famous Pittsburghers, local blogger Chris Briem wonders whether someone should compile a list of, say, Nobel Prize winners with a Pittsburgh connection.
That's as good an excuse of any to remind you of all the Nobel Prize winners with a Carnegie Mellon connection. In 2004, Tepper School of Business Professor Finn Kydland and alumnus Edward Prescott won the Nobel Prize for economics. You can check out this story about Kydland and Prescott for more information about our other Nobel Prize winners, including alumnus John Nash and the late Professor Herbert Simon, the intellectual godfather of much of what we do here.
