Carnegie Mellon/Portugal Conference To Feature
Importance Of Consumer-Friendly Technologies
Event: The Carnegie Mellon University/Portugal Program will host the "Smart Tech for Real People" Conference showcasing Carnegie Mellon Portugal faculty, students and researchers. The daylong event will highlight research spanning a variety of topics including security and critical infrastructure protection, services and technologies for interactive media, and networking opportunities for students, faculty, researchers and industrial affiliates.
In October 2006, Carnegie Mellon and the Portuguese government, through its Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education, entered into a long-term collaboration to significantly expand research and education in the area of information and communication technologies.
