Media Advisory: Carnegie Mellon Students Celebrate Engineering Week
With Interactive Carnival Featuring Bridge Building And Duct Tape Fashions
Event: Carnegie Mellon University's engineering students will host a gizmo carnival featuring a variety of interactive displays including edible bridge building, robot demonstrations and the latest duct tape clothing for consumer fashion buffs.
The public event, dubbed E-Week, is designed to entice more high school students into the fields of engineering and science.
Christine Ho, a Carnegie Mellon senior majoring in chemical and biomedical engineering, said there will be 13 booth exhibits for visitors to see and experience. Refreshments and a raffle will be part of the event, which kicks off a series of national celebrations later this month honoring the engineering profession.
When: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 15.
